What’s in a food? We all should go for a balanced and healthy diet. People complain about health following an unhealthy lifestyle. But prevention is always better than cure..

WHAT TO KEEP IN YOUR DIET?

Let’s see..

  1. Okinawa diet.

  2. At least five servings of fruits and vegetables.

  3. Average of eighteen different foods each day.

  4. 7 types at least on daily basis.

  5. The Rainbow Diet . Vegetables of different color.

  6. Peepers, Carrots, Spinach, Cauliflower, Eggplant, Legumes.

  7. Broccoli, Chard

  8. Tofu

  9. Citrus fruits e.g. grapefruits, oranges, lemons

  10. Strawberries and apricots

  11. Berries e.g. blueberries, gojiberries

  12. Dried fruits

  13. Grain (Whole grain)

  14. Olive oil

  15. Wine . Red wine and other alcohol in moderation.

  16. Miso soup

  17. Anti-oxidant rich foods to remove the free radicals. e.g. Green tea.

  18. Consuming fewer calories with high nutritional value. These can be called “Superfoods”
