Purpose? Or Ambition?

Motivation. Intrinsic Motivation. Extrinsic Motivation. What drives a person? Purpose or an Ambition? Which one is greater? What makes us push the limits? There used to be a term called, “prime-mover”. Now, we are so accustomed to conform to the existing standards, that we have lost the guts to take the leap of faith. More importantly, when someone takes it, people with closed minds and old kind of thinking, try to obstruct him or her.

Now that person has two options, 1. Either conform to the existing standards of doing things. Or, 2. Having a fresh outlook on things and aligning actions with the unique vision to achieve what was desired. Ambition can only take you so far. Suppose you have reached the top of the mountain. You have got what you wanted. What next? Self -actualization?

Purpose gives that fuel that keeps the retirement away. Even while doing the work or any work, purpose mixed with passion, gives the urge to do things in a different way..may be one’s own way..

What will your way be?
