OM MA NI PAD ME HUM – What does it mean?

We have all seen the buddhist flags containing tibetan words saying the mentioned words.

What does it actually mean?

According to buddhist scriptures, the syllables contain a meaning guiding us to a better way of life..

OM – Generosity that purifies ego

MA – Ethics purifies jealousy

NI – Patience purifies passion and desire

PAD – Precision that purifies bias

ME – Surrender that purifies greed

HUM – Wisdom that purifies hatred
