We all feel stress. It's not necessarily a "bad" thing. It alerts us of possible danger. We wouldn't have survived without it. It's a part of our daily life. In small doses, it might work as motivation. However, if we allow ourselves to be dominated by it, it can do harm. If you are constantly feeling frazzled and overwhelmed, running in emergency, the mind and body pay the price. So we use stress management skills to cope with it and reach a balance. Here we'll discuss briefly about what stress is and some ways to manage it. For more click here.

Stress is a physical response. When we sense danger, our body switches to "fight or flight" mode, a series of things happen. Our nervous system responds by releasing a flood of stress hormones, including adrenaline and cortisol, which are responsible for arousing the body in emergency action. The heart pounds faster, muscles tighten, blood pressure rises, breath quickens and senses become sharper. At least they should become sharper.

Stress is a common thing. The important part is how we handle it. However, if it becomes chronic then it can lead to other problems.

You'll find a lot of places to go to for  the causes. We have provided some major ones. The list is never complete. However our focus will be to guide; how to avoid, balance and reduce the effect of stress.

Let's have a look at that.
